This timely and provocative interdisciplinary series explores the historic and cultural significance of the atom in the United States . In order to fully understand the ways people have utilized and characterized nuclear weapons, atomic energy, and other related research, we invite scholarship from a number of relevant fields such as history, sociology, geology, political science, popular culture, environmental history, and American studies.
