The University Press of Colorado unequivocally supports and endorses the recent AUPresses statement condemning the US Executive Order on Combatting Race and Sex Stereotyping. We agree this order, if fully implemented, will have a chilling effect not only on the hard and necessary work of creating more equitable and inclusive workplaces but also on the unencumbered development of new fields of scholarly inquiry and the continuing advancement of human knowledge.
