Welcome Allegra Martschenko, our new acquisitions editor!

June 22, 2021

We are delighted to announce that Allegra Martschenko will be joining the team here at University Press of Colorado | Utah State University Press as acquisitions editor for anthropology, archaeology, environmental justice, and history. Allegra is currently an acquisitions assistant at Cornell University Press and a Mellon University Press Diversity Fellow who assists two senior editors in acquiring titles in science, European history, military history, and East Asian studies.

Prior to working at Cornell University Press, Allegra worked as a sales intern at Princeton University Press while she was completing her BA in architecture with minors in creative writing and urban studies. Among her accomplishments in her current role are the development of an updated set of peer review guidelines for Cornell University Press, including language about diversity and inclusion, and her work on a First Book Fund to provide monetary support for early career authors.

We are excited to have Allegra shepherding these lists forward with her considerable energy, enthusiasm, and insight.
