The inaugural Rocky Mountain Writing Centers Association Summer Book Club will be reading Mark Hall’s Around the Texts of Writing Center Work: An Inquiry-Based Approach to Tutor Education. Our first meeting will be on June 28, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.  We’ll be meeting on Google Hangouts (link to be provided to those who have RSVP’d).  The Summer Book Club is a new feature of RMWCA as a part of an effort to allow its members to engage in professional development.  While attendees won’t need to be members of RMWCA, we will be briefly announcing our new dues structure and how individual and writing centers can join. Space is limited to 24 simply because Google Hangouts won’t allow more than 25 people to actively participate in a Hangout, and I will need to be sure to reserve a spot since in our second meeting, we are honored to have Mark Hall, the author of Around the Texts of Writing Center Work, join us.  Mark will be joining us to answer questions, or just join in the conversation!

In order to get a count of how many people are interested in attending, we ask that you RSVP at EventBrite:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rmwca-summer-book-club-tickets-46379429121?aff=RMWCAL .   Be sure that you register for both the June 28, 2018 and July 26, 2018 meetings.  You will have to load the page twice to do this. Both meetings are both 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time.  In all there are two meetings of the RMWCA Summer Book Club.
