The University Press of Colorado is accepting manuscripts for publication in our Global Colonialism series, a collection of nonfiction books that investigate the effects of colonialism globally on both colonizers and the colonized. Books in the series will be selected from across a variety of fields, including archaeology, anthropology, ethnohistory, and history.

Conquest and colonization have characterized the human experience from the time of the emergence of state-level societies. We invite global case studies, from the earliest known examples in antiquity to the current day, as well as more synthetic works that study the ties between areas connected by colonialism. Books in this series should study colonial processes at a local level, while also examining how these processes connect to larger spheres and themes.

All proposals for the this series should follow the press submission guidelines, and submission will be evaluated by the press acquisitions staff, the series editors and/or editorial board, as well as outside experts.

Key Theoretical Frameworks: Teaching Technical Communication in the Twenty-First Century is the winnner the 2020 Conference on College Composition and Communication's Technical and Scientific Communication Award in the category of Best Original Collection of Essays in Technical or Scientific Communication! Editors Angela M. Haas and Michelle F Eble will accept the award the Awards Session of the 2020 CCCC Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in March.

Michelle F. Eble

Michelle F. Eble is associate professor of technical and professional communication at East Carolina University, where she teaches technical and professional writing courses and research methods. Her research interests include technical writing theory and practice that incorporate social justice interventions; inclusive professional development; and mentoring networks. She is coeditor of Key Theoretical Frameworks: Teaching Technical Communication in the 21st Century. She has published in Computers and Composition, Technical Communication, Present Tense, and Technical Communication Quarterly and has edited several collections. She serves as chair of ECU’s Behavioral and Social Sciences Institutional Review Board and past president of the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing.

Michelle F. Eble

Michelle F. Eble is part of the writing faculty at East Carolina University. When their program faced reaccreditation in 2013, they chose to address the process as an opportunity to garner institutional support for revisions to their composition and writing across the curriculum programs.
