The National Park Service turns 100

August 25, 2016

 

On August 25, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill "to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and wildlife therein, and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations"—and the National Park Service was born. Admission to all of the United States' 412 national parks will be free August 25-28, 2016. More information can be found here!
