This book is a collection of 147 bilingual Dena'ina-English writings of the self-taught writer and scholar, Peter Kalifornski of Kenai, Alaska. For nearly two decades, Kalifornski, who was born in 1911, has been writing traditional stories, poems, and language lessons in the Dena'ina Athabaskan language of the Lower Cook Inlet.
