The 2023–2024 academic year was the third full year that our collective included eleven institutional members across fourteen campuses supporting four distinct imprints, the University Press of Colorado, the University of Alaska Press, Utah State University Press, and the University of Wyoming Press. Overall we published, copublished, or distributed a total of 72 titles in 2023–2024 from these four imprints and two publishing partners, including two more titles—Big Box USA and Mega-Dams in World Literature—from our budding University of Wyoming Press imprint.
In addition, eleven of our books across three of our imprints and four key publication areas won awards, with seven of the eleven titles composition and rhetoric titles from Utah State University Press. This includes the 2024 Outstanding Book Award from the Conference on College Composition and Communication for Annie S. Mendenhall's Desegregation State.
I remain deeply grateful for the hard work and flexibility of our amazing staff, authors, and trustees; the continued support of our member institutions; the onetime support received from numerous institutions and organizations that underwrote specific publications; and the many generous donors that contributed to our endowment fund. That includes the International Artic Research Center for their support of Natchiq Grows Up: The Story of an Alaska Ringed Seal Pup and Her Changing Home by Donna D.W. Hauser, Kathryn J.
