The George and Sakaye Aratani Nikkei in the Americas Series endeavors to present the best scholarship available that illustrates the evolving nature of contemporary Nikkei identities and communities, with special attention to innovative scholarship, perspectives, as well as relevant creative contributions to the field. Thanks to the vision of founding editor Lane Hirabayashi, numerous scholars have found a home—and will continue to find a home—for their work in this series.
All proposals for the this series should follow the press submission guidelines, and submission will be evaluated by the press acquisitions staff, the series editors and/or editorial board, as well as outside experts.
