American Seafarer
Alaska History Series, no. 50
Caleb Reynolds (1771-1858) was an American sea captain who sailed around Cape Horn, traded with the king of Hawaii, and visited the mutineers from the HMS Bounty on Pitcairn Island. In this biography, Caleb Reynolds' descendant, Emily Reynolds Baker, uses his letters to his wife, ships' logs, poetry, and other papers to reconstruct Reynolds' eventful life.
